Growing: Year round in tropical climate. Temperate climates: early spring, indoors, 4-6 weeks prior the danger of last frost is gone; direct seeding 2-3 weeks prior the last frost date. Warm climates: year round avoiding rain season.
Soil: well drained, fertile soil with a pH of 6-6.8, preferably rich in organic matter.
Sowing depth: 0.5cm (0.2in). Sprinkle the seeds on the surface of the soil and barely cover.
Spacing: 12-18in (30-45cm) apart.
Light: full sun/partial shade.
Watering: regular to keep the soil moist, but not soggy.
Fertilizing: recommended.
