Early, incredibly popular heirloom possessing unique appearance, superb flavour and especially high carotene amount. Round and bright orange, possesing crisp, luscious, super sweet, superb flavour. Easpecially loved by kids!! Best for fresh consumption, marinating, freezing, processing.

Growing: year round in tropical climate, recommended to grow in a controlled temp environment.

Planting season: early spring/late summer; direct seeding;

Soil temp: 50-85F (+10-29C); Light: full sun/partial shade.

Soil: loamy and sandy, preferably rich in organic matter with a pH of 6-6.8;

Sowing depth: 1/4in (0.6cm).

Space after thinning: 3in (7.6cm);

Row spacing: in (10cm);

Moisture: frequent watering (keep the soil moist, but not soggy!!);

Fertilizing: recommended. Organic compost to be mixed into the soil prior planting, additionally fish or kelp emulsions can be added regularly;

Germination: 10-21 days.
