Tomato 'Black Prince' 20-30 Seeds (Solanum lycopersicum) Vegetable Heirloom Seeds

Originally from Siberia, this is one of the most popular and flavored black tomatoes. The Black Prince tomato is said to have considerable health benefits beyond the presence of lycopene. These deep garnet round, 5cm wide and 57-85g weighing tomatoes grow only 160cm tall and are full of juice and incredibly rich fruity flavors. Flat to round, slightly ribbed fruits, which ripen in clusters from mid-August are among chefs favourites for its rich flavours. The small fruits contain deep rich colors from inside out, which is olive-green to brown around the stem, even when the tomato is ripe. Perfect for patio gardens. Amazing for eating fresh, cooking in tomato sauce or other culinary wonders. A good canning tomato variety too. Indeterminate, takes 75-80 days to mature. Requires stacking for support. Fortunately, because ‘Black Prince’ is an heirloom variety, you can save its tomato seeds, and cultivate the best-looking fruits next season. Suitable to be grown indoors and outdoors in pots, or directly in the ground.

Planting season: Year round in tropical climates; In temperate climates plant indoors 4-6 weeks prior the last frost is gone and transplant outdoors after the danger of all frost is gone.
Soil: Sow the seeds inside light, fertile, well-draining soil, preferably rich in organic matter with a pH between 6-7.
Sowing depth: 0.6cm deep.
Light: Position containers/pots in a bright location with plenty of sunlight. Tomatoes need to get at least 6h of sunlight a day. If natural light isn’t available, place under the growing lights.
Watering: Water moderately to make sure the soil is moist but not wet. Adding more moisture on a still moist soil makes it too wet in deeper layers of the soil, which causes the rot of the seeds/roots. Best to water when the soil is dry to the touch.
Fertilizing: Adding fertilizer regularly ensures healthy growth and fruiting. We highly recommend using TSM Organic Growth Activator to speed up the germination of the seeds, support healthy growth and promote high yields.
Pollination: For pollinating the flowers, you can either shake them or use an electric toothbrush/cotton swab to vibrate each flower. Tomato plants need pollination for setting the fruits.
Pests & diseases: moulds, mildews, fungal diseases, fruit fly, blosson-end rot, whiteflies, aphids, tomato mites. We highly recommend using TSM Organic Neem Oil for a natural overall protection and treatment of various pests and diseases.
Companion plants: basils, marigolds, borage, nasturtiums, peppers, sage, lettuce, thyme.

The TSM Guarantee: It's our promise to ensure that all our products are strictly Non-GMO, and free from any possible harmful chemical compounds. All come from trusted and carefully selected small non commercial farmers worldwide providing fresh, safe supply.
