Perennial compact plant 10-16 times sweeter than sugar. Grows up to 60cm tall, very decorative, easy to grow and maintain. Leaves & stems can be used as an alternative to sugar to sweeten beverages, desserts etc. 10 seeds grow to 4-5 plants. Best grown potted inside. Plant matures in 90-100 days. Beautiful as ornamental.
Growing: Choose a location with full sun/partial shade where the plant could get at least 6h of direct sunlight.
Soil: fertile, well-drained soil, preferably rich in organic matter.
Sowing depth: Sprinkle the seeds lightly on to the surface of the soil and press them in gently.
Moisture: After sowing the seeds water the area gently to help seeds settle. Keep the soil evenly moist and avoid overwatering which often causes the rot of the seeds/roots.
Fertilizing: Avoid chemical fertilizing, as it will affect the sweetness of the plant.
