Zinnia 'Pumila' Colorful Flower Heirloom 90-110 Seeds

Zinnia 'Pumila' (Zinnia elegans) - Instant summer in a pot! 'Pumila' explodes into dense, 30–45 cm domes of vibrant 5–7 cm double pom-poms – candy-pink, scarlet, lemon, orange, white – blooming non-stop 6 weeks from seed and lasting 4+ months in tropical heat. Self-cleaning, heat-proof, and butterfly magnets, each plant pumps out hundreds of cut-and-come-again blooms perfect for tiny vases or edible garnishes (petals taste like mild lettuce).

Special edge:

Mildew-resistant (rare for zinnias in humidity);

Ultra-compact → 1 plant = 1 L pot or 3 in a 20 L container;

Nitrogen-efficient → thrives in poor soil;

Growing:

Sow: Scatter on surface (needs light), press lightly, keep moist. Germinates 4–7 days at 25–30 °C.
Container: 1–20 L pot (drainage holes); 50% soil + 30% compost + 20% perlite. 1–3 plants/pot.10 L → 2 plants; 20 L → 3 plants (max).
Light: 6 h sun; 30% shade cloth >35 °C (Hang 30–50% shade cloth 12–3 PM → prevents leaf scorch & flower fade).
Water: 2.5 cm/week; mulch with gravel in monsoon.
Fertilizing: Week 3: Half-strength 10-10-10 liquid. Week 6+ (blooming):5-10-15 weekly → bigger, brighter flowers. No excess N → prevents leggy growth in heat.
Care: Pinch at 15 cm → bushier. Deadhead or let self-clean.
Harvest: Cut blooms morning → vase life 7–10 days.
Pests: Neem for aphids; good airflow = no mildew.
Companions: marigolds, basil, nasturtium, cucumber.
