Germination:
Depth: 0.5–1 cm. Time: 7–21 days (some hot peppers may take up to 30 days). Temperature: 24–30°C. Light required: No. Pepper seeds germinate best in warm soil. Keep soil lightly moist but not waterlogged to prevent seed rot.
☀️ Sun & Tropical Care:
Peppers need 6–8 hours of sunlight daily. In tropical climates, young plants benefit from light afternoon shade during extreme heat (above 35°C) to prevent flower drop. Ensure good airflow to reduce fungal problems in humid weather.
Soil, Water & Feeding:
Soil: fertile, well-draining soil rich in compost (pH 6.0–7.0)
Water: keep soil evenly moist but not soggy
Feed: apply balanced vegetable fertilizer every 10–14 days. During flowering switch to higher potassium fertilizer to support fruit production.
Support & Plant Care:
Most pepper plants benefit from light staking or small cages to support heavy fruit. Pinching the first flowers can help plants develop stronger roots and branches. Harvest regularly to encourage continuous fruit production.
