Strawberry Spinach 340-360 Seeds (Chenopodium capitatum) Vegetable Heirloom

Annual, ornamental, rare and unique looking culinary herb growing up to 50cm (19.6in) tall. Forms deep green, luscious, spinach-like leaves and pretty, tiny red berries that add a bright spark to the whole plant once are loaded on the branches. The leaves are meaty, rich flavour, eaten the same way as a spinach, while the berries are tangy and adds a great spark to various drinks, desserts, salads or just as a food decot. Berries are used to make wine, jams, as natural dye. Looks showy and beautiful grown in herb gardens, as well as potted indoors. Very fast and easy growing maturing in 60-70 days.

Growing: Planting season: year round in tropical climate (if planting outdoors, choose dry season); in temperate climates plants in spring, direct seeding, after the last frost (end of Apr-May).

Soil: light, fertile, rich in organic matter soil.

Sowing depth: 0.3cm (0.1in) deep, sprinkling the seeds on the surface of the soil and barely covering.

Spacing: 20cm (8in) apart.

Light: full sun/partial shade.

Watering: regular to keep the soil moist but not wet.

Fertilizing: recommended.

Seeds germinate in 3-7 days.
