Growing:
Germination:
Sow seeds directly into pots or soil at 2–3 cm depth in moist, well-draining soil. Germination takes 5–10 days in warm tropical conditions. Keep soil lightly moist but not soggy during sprouting.
☀️ Sun & Tropical Care:
Grows best in full sun (6–8 hours daily). In hot Singapore conditions, light afternoon shade can help reduce heat stress and improve flowering. Ensure good airflow around plants to reduce fungal issues in humid weather. Provide a small trellis or stake for support.
Soil, Water & Feeding:
Soil: Rich, well-draining soil with compost added.
Water: Keep soil evenly moist but avoid waterlogging, especially during rainy periods.
Feeding: Apply balanced fertilizer every 1–2 weeks after flowering starts for better pod production. Avoid excessive nitrogen fertiliser.
Pests & Prevention:
May occasionally attract aphids, caterpillars, spider mites, or snails. Ensure good airflow and avoid overcrowding in humid conditions. Treat with neem oil if needed. Harvest regularly to encourage continuous flowering and pod production.
