Rose Mallow 'Loveliness Rose' (Lavatera trimestris) Flower Plant Heirloom,  1g of Seeds

Big, showy pink blooms mark this aptly named variety of Rose Mallow. Loveliness is a favorite among gardeners for its extra large, brightly colored blooms that are attractive to those beautiful birds and butterflies, beneficial insects and hummingbirds we all love. Flowers of this variety literally glows pink and is a sure to catch the eye. This shrub-like, annual plant grows quickly and blooms heavily, reaching 91cm tall. Perfect for flower gardens. 

Growing: Challenging in tropical climate. It's best to sow Rose Mallow flower seeds outdoors as seedlings do not transplant real well. In temperate climates plant after the last frost has passed, prepare garden site, loosening soil. Sow 3 - 4 seeds in a group, spaced 45-63cm apart.

Soil: Well draining, sandy or loamy soil, but it can tolerate clay soils, pH 6.0 - 8.0

Average Germ Time: 15 - 20 days. 

Depth: sprinkle the seeds on the surface and lightly press in without covering. Seeds need light to germinate.

Sowing Rate: 3 - 4 seeds per plant

Moisture: Keep seeds moist until germination occurs. Regular watering to ensure soil is moist but not wet.

Plant Spacing: 45-63cm.

Fertilizing: optional.
