Growing:

Germination:
Sow seeds directly into final pots or ground at 2–3 cm depth in moist, rich well-draining soil. Germinates in 5–10 days at 24–32°C. Keep evenly moist during sprouting. Direct sowing is best as pumpkins dislike root disturbance.

☀️ Sun & Tropical Care:
Requires full sun (6–8 hours daily) for strong fruit production. Thrives in Singapore heat and humidity. Good airflow is essential to reduce fungal issues. Plants stay more compact than traditional pumpkins but still need room for healthy growth. Hand-pollination can improve fruit set in balcony spaces.

Soil, Water & Feeding:
Use rich compost-enriched soil in large 30–50L containers with strong drainage. Water deeply and regularly, especially during flowering and fruit development. Keep soil consistently moist but not soggy. Feed every 2 weeks with balanced fertilizer, switching to higher potassium feed once flowering begins for sweeter fruits.

Growth & Fruiting:
Plants remain relatively compact, making them excellent for container growing. Harvest when fruits turn deep golden-orange and skin becomes firm and hard. Fruits store well after curing.

Pests & Prevention:
Watch for aphids, whiteflies, mildew, and fruit rot in humid weather. Ensure spacing and airflow, avoid wet foliage overnight, and place mulch or boards under fruits to keep them dry. Neem oil may be used if needed.
