Stevia

Planting season: year round in tropical climate; in temperate climates start stevia indoors 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost in spring. Transplant stevia outdoors after the last frost when the weather is settled and warm. Stevia will not tolerate temperatures below 23C.
The seed will germinate in 7 to 21 days.
Soil: well-drained, loamy soil. Add aged compost to the planting bed and turn it under before planting. Stevia grows best when soil pH ranges from 6.7 to 7.2.
Sowing depth: 0.6cm deep.
Spacing: Space stevia plants 25-30cm apart (if grown in rows inside the garden); stevia has a clumping growth form; allow room between plants. Stevia grows well in containers. Choose a pot 30cm deep and wide.
Light: full sun. If the afternoon sun is burning hot, provide some shade. Best if the plant gets 6-8h of sunlight a day.
Moisture: keep the soil evenly moist. Add water when the soil starts to feel dry to the touch. Avoid over-watering, which causes the rot of the seeds/roots.
Fertilizing: recommended for a healthy growth and fruit foliage. We highly recommend using TSM Organic Growth Activator to speed up the germination of the seeds, support healthy growth and promote increased yields.
Pests & diseases: Stevia is generally not bothered by pests or diseases.
Companion plants: marjoram and thyme.
