Kale Curly 'Kapral & Rednex' Mix 4m Seeds Tape (Brassica oleracea L.) Vegetable Heirloom

Great mix of green and purple curly kales, coming in a 4m tape. Reaching up to 35cm tall, lovely colorful leaves look stunning in pots and containers, and provide a bomb of nutrients added to salads, garnishes, smoothies, juices. Can be grown to microgreen or baby leaf stage, harvesting as fast as in 4-6 weeks. Grows easy and fast with minimum care required. Perfect blend for braising mixes. Can be sown every week for continues harvest. Both varieties are highly fertile, so from a 4m seed tape 180 good quality plants can be expected. This blend consists of 66.6% of Kapral and 33.3% of Rednex. Both varieties are highly frost and heat tolerant, possesisng
crisp and mild flavour.

Seeds in a tape are easier to plant, care and the harvest is neater compare to the lose seeds. Also, all plants mature at the same time.
The seeds are already correctly spaced, so the seedlings do not crowd. Also, you do not need to worry about planting them too deep, all will be at the same depth. Plants grown from the tape also mature and can be harvested at the same time. Tape is biodegradable, which  will not cause any damage to the plant or the environment. Pre-spacing the seeds means no over-sowing and no thinning out,  plus the lightweight tape stops birds eating your freshly sown seeds.

Growing: year round in tropical climate. To plant them, simply lay down the seed tape in a straight line of a well-drained, fertile soil and gently cover it with soil. You can use as much tape, as you desire, as it can be nicely teared at the desired length. Water regularly to make sure the soil is moist but not wet. After the seedlings emerge, just care for them like planting the seeds in a usual way.

Planting season: Early spring, starting from transplants four weeks prior the last frost date or direct seeding once the soil can be worked. Fall, sowing seeds two months prior first expected frost for full size and up until frost for baby leaf.

Soil: Well drained, fertile soil high in organic matter, with a pH 6-7.5. Can tolerate slightly alkaline soil.

Sun: full sun/partial shade;

Moisture: regular watering to keep the soil moist (not wet).

Fertlizing: regular fertilisng with organic fertiliser recommended for healthy growth and strong root system.
