Annual culinary herb very popular for its unique, warm, anise-like flavour and fragrance. Whole plant including seeds, shoots and leaves is edible. Fresh and dried are used to add a unique, flavourful touch meat, seafood, egg dishes, desserts, pastries, sauces, marinates and liquors. Plants grow up to 2ft (0.6m) tall. Coriander benefits spinach, beans and peas when planted nearby, as it helps to repel aphids, spider mites, white flies and potato beetle. Also, the plant attracts bees, butterflies and birds with its fragrant blossoms and aromatic foliage. Self-sows freely. For continious harvest can be sown several times a year.Suitable to be grown in outdoors, indoors in pots and hydroponics. Prefers light sandy loam and bright, sunny location. Suitable for outside growing.

Growing: Very challenging in tropical climate, not recommended.

Planting season: spring, 6 weeks prior planting outdoors; direct seeding, after the last frost.

Soil: Deep, fertile, well drained soil with a pH 6.5-7.1.

Sowing depth: 0.4in (1cm) deep.

Spacing: 9-12in (22-30cm) apart.

Light: full sun.

Watering: regular to keep the soil moist, but not wet.

Fertilizing: optional.

Seeds germinate within 7-10 days.
