Medium early heirloom harvest in 36-38 days. Very popular for bright purple, unique colour and superb - crisp, juicy, aromatic, very sweet flavour. One of the most favourite fresh vegetables among children. Fruits are small and round, with pure white flesh, loaded with essential minerals. Suitable for growing outside and inside green houses. One of the earliest spring vegetables that grows easy, fast with very basic maintenance. Kids favourite!
Growing: Year round in tropical climate; in temperate climates - Suitable to be grown outdoors. Can be planted for spring/summer/fall harvest.
Planting season: Spring, starting indoors 4-6 weeks prior the average last frost date; direct seeding after the danger of last frost has passed and soil is workable; year round in warm climates.
Soil: light, fertile, well drained, preferably rich in organic matter. pH 6-7.
Sowing depth: 1/2in (1.2cm) deep;
Spacing: 1in (2.5cm) apart in rows 12in (30cm) apart. Thin radishes to about 1in (2cm) apart when the plants are one week old.
Light: full sun.
Watering: consistent watering keeping the soil evenly moist but not waterlogged.
