Dill Organic 'Common' 5g of Seeds (Anethum graveolens) Herb Heirloom

Medium early, fertile, abundantly yielding organic heirloom, popular for its beautiful, feathery foliage and aromatic, rich flavour. Harvest in 52-60 days. Whole plant including stem, leaves,seeds and raceme is edible, both, fresh, dried and frozen. Grows easy and fast, with very basic maintenance. Suitable for growing outdoors in herb gardens, potted indoors and hydroponically. Dill is beneficial to cabbages, corn, lettuce, onions and cucumbers when planted nearby by repeling aphids, spider mites, squash bugs and cabbage looper. It attracts honeybees and butterflies. Avoid planting near carrots and tomatoes. It's also one of the few plants that will grow with fennel.

Growing: Not suitable for tropical climate.

Planting season: may be planted in spring or fall. Planted in early spring, dill will produce seeds during the same season. Direct sow outdoors in fall or in spring after the last frost.

Soil: well drained, moderately rich, lose soil with a pH 5.5-6.5.

Sowing depth: 0.7-1.1in (2-3cm) deep.

Spacing: 12-15in (30-38cm) apart.

Light: full sun/partial shade.

Watering: regular to keep the soil moist.

Fertilizing: optional.

Seeds germinate within 7-10 days.
