Early baby spinach variety, ready for harvest in just 20-25 days after seeds germination. Grows in a compact way, possessing smooth, dark green color, especially rich flavoured, juicy leaves with short stems. Perfect for fresh eating, as well as freezing. Can be grown inside pots, boxes in balconies or in the ground itself. Yields abundantly. Grown similar to lettuce. Naturally very rich in essential vitamins and minerals, boosting energy, immunity and supporting overall health. Best temperature to grow spinach is +14-18C. 300-400 seeds will provide a harvest of 3-4kg of spinach leaves.
Growing: Not suitable for tropical/hot climates. Prefers cool temperatures.
Planting season: Early spring, 4-6 weeks prior the last frost and fall, 6-8 weeks prior the first frost date. Direct seeding. Soil temp. should be no warmer than 70F (+21C) in due for seeds germination.
Soil: medium heavy, fertile, well drained soil rich in organic matter, with a pH 6.5-7.
Sowing depth: 1/2-1in (1.5-2cm) deep covering lightly with soil.
Spacing: 12in (30cm) apart.
Light: Full sun/partial shade.
Watering: regularly to keep the soil moist.
Fertilzing: only if needed, starting when plants reach 1/3in (0.8cm).
