Very early, sweet, round pea variety ready for harvest in 45-55 days. Grows up to 60cm tall, pods are dark green in colour, smooth, containing sweet, crisp peas inside which are best for fresh consumption, marinating and freezing. Young seedlings can take the frost up to -4. Naturally rich in essential vitamins and minerals, supports overall health and well being.
Growing: For tropical climates suitable to be grown to micro sprouts only. Seeds germinate within 10-20 days with an optimum temp of 40-85F (+4-29C). Use trellis for support.
Planting season: early spring (end of March-beginning of Apr) once soil can be worked.
Soil: well drained, average fertile, rich in organic matter with a pH of 6-7. Sowing depth: 1-2in (2.5-5cm) deep.
Spacing: 1-4in (2.5-10cm) apart in rows of 18in (45cm) apart.
