Growing: Planting Season: Not suitable for tropical climate. Spring, indoors 2-4 weeks prior the danger of last frost is gone using the peat pots or direct seeding after the danger of last frost is gone.
Soil: well drained, fertile, rich in organic matter.
Sowing depth: 1.5in (4cm) deep;
Spacing: 2-3ft (0.6-0.9m) apart.

Watering: frequent and consistent.
Fertilizing: work comspost and plenty of organic matter into the soil before planting for a rich soil base. Fertilize when first blooms appear, applying a small amount as a side dress aplication. After harvest begins, fertilize occasionally for vigorous growth and abundance of fruits.
