Growing: challenging in tropical climate; in temperate climates, start the seeds 6-8 weeks prior the last frost date and transplant outside when the danger of last frost is gone and soil has warmed up. Grows best with temp. +10-18C (50-65F) during the day and +4-10C (40-50F) during the night.
Soil: light, fertile, slightly alkaline (6.5-6.9pH). Do not use rich soils, as the plant will end up with lots of green leaves and very few blooms. Wet soils that drain poorly will cause yellow color, wilting plants.
Sowing depth: 1cm (0.4in) deep.
Spacing: 25cmx25cm (9.8x9.8in).
Light: full sun/partial shade. Requires a min of 4-6 hours of sunlight for healthy blooms and foliage.
Watering: a light spray of water on the plant 2-3 times a week should be enough to meet their watering needs unless it's extremely hot and dry.
Fertilizing: not needed.
